Trail rides are offered on our beautiful 50-acre hinterland property. Our trail ride will take you through our amazing 50-acre property - enjoy the peaceful environment and enjoy the company of our gentle, well-trained horses. Whether you’re visiting from overseas, holidaying locally, or just ticking horse riding off your bucket list, our trail rides are a safe, relaxed, and unforgettable way to experience the beauty of the Gold Coast.
About the Ride

Total time: 1 hour

Lesson plus Ride: The first 15 minutes is spent in our arena with a qualified coach, learning the basics of stopping, steering, and controlling your horse.

Trail Experience: We then head out for a relaxed 45-minute ride around our beautiful property and along the river. Please note, experienced riders - this trail ride is inclusive of all abilities and opportunities to trot and canter are not offered on this ride. Please book our Advanced Trail Ride or Private Trail Ride if you and your group have riding experience and would like to include trot and canter during the trail ride.

For privately booked rides with experienced riders, and when conditions allow, we may offer the opportunity to walk your horse through the creeks.
Phones & Photos

For everyone's safety, phones are not permitted on trail rides. We have a safe, locked location where you can store your valuables while you ride.

We need everyone's hands on reins and total focus on the ride.

If you consent, our coaches can take photos during the ride which may be shared on our social media pages for you to enjoy.

If you don't consent for your image to appear on social media please let us know.
Booking Information

Minimum riders: Trail rides require a minimum of 2 people to go ahead.

Maximum rider weight: 90kg.

Pricing: Per person.

Weather policy: We run rides in most weather. If conditions are severe, we’ll provide a 1 hour undercover riding lesson instead, so you still get a great riding experience.

HORSE RIDING GEAR - Onsite boutique / Pro Shop :
Please consider buying your riding gear with us, our dedicated and experienced coaches will be happy to fit it all safely to you !
Unfortunately, we see too many helmets that are not fitted correctly and therefore unsafe.
We reserve the right not to accept riders with an unfitted helmet.
For your safety, back protectors are compulsory for our junior riders and all riders jumping at GCEC.
We will also happily guide you to the best technical choice.
It is all about safety and if you find the same option cheaper elsewhere, we will match that price.
Member riders do have to purchase our uniform: GCEC polo, breeches ( riding pants ), black boots and half chaps, gloves, helmet and body protector.
We try to source the best products at the best prices.
Members riders can borrow helmet and back protector ( we only have a few junior sizes ) for their 1st term of riding.
PRICING :
Group trail ride :
This is a shared ride with other riders.
$130 per rider ( riders aged 9yo + )
Group trail rides will be walking only and are for all abilities. There are no opportunities to trot or canter on this ride.
Note : a minimum of 2 riders booked for the ride to go ahead.
Private trail ride :
This ride is for you and your group only.
This is recommended for more advanced riders as our group trail rides are organised for beginner riders.
Please enquire, pricing will depend on numbers and days.
Only paid bookings will be confirmed and we have a strictly no refund policy.
For all of our Trail Rides, the horses will be tacked and prepared for you.
This is to ensure safety for all riders and also these horses are a part of our riding school.
