Get to Know Our Horses
Our horses at Gold Coast Equestrian Centre are all Connemara ponies or part Connemara. The Connemara pony originated in Ireland, they are known for their athleticism, versatility and disposition. They are a widely sought after breed as they are known to be kind, willing and trusting. They love human affection, very easy to handle, extremely intelligent and very trainable. The Connemara pony is a safe and sensible breed, which makes them a fantastic mount for both children and adults.

Meet our amazing herd of horses and ponies we are lucky to have at GCEC. Many of our ponies were born onsite, and others came to us when they were very young. Broken in and raised by our team, our horses and ponies are trained to work in the riding school and be used in lessons, each suiting a range of abilities. Our coaches are consistently training and teaching our horses, as there is always more to learn ! Just like humans, our animals all have their individual personalities, likes and dislikes.
