Volunteer with us

GCEC has a team of dedicated and passionate community members who work collaboratively with the Management and Coaches to support the safe and smooth running of our beautiful club. All members of GCEC are invited to get involved in the club as volunteers to support our mission to provide safe, respectful space for the community to enjoy positive partnerships with horses and ponies. In addition, our not for profit committee conducts fundraising initiatives to facilitate horsemanship and riding experiences for people experiencing hardship or who have diverse needs and mixed abilities.

There are a number of ways you can get involved in the daily activities of The Gold Coast Equestrian Centre.

Volunteering

We love helpers at GCEC and encourage all members to get involved and get hands-on with the daily operations at GCEC.

Help out in the shop or canteen
Join one of paddock clean up days
Chip in at one of our quarterly working bees
Builders and handypersons are always welcome to offer a helping hand at GCEC.

Donate

We are always in need of donations to help us raise funds for our community projects. Here's a short list of just a few of the things we are typically on the look out for.

Building materials
Prepackaged products to sell in the canteen
Raffle items for fundraising prizes and giveaways
High quality secondhand riding gear and tack (in good to excellent condition) that we can donate to help a family facing hard times

WHAT TO WEAR WHEN YOU VISIT GCEC?

It is a very important to wear long pants and boots, every time you are onsite at GCEC. Even if you are not riding closed in shoes is compulsory. If you don't have boots, sneakers or other similar closed shoes will suffice.

Helmets will be provided by the school if you are riding just once.

Plan to arrive 15 mins earlier than your scheduled appointment or lesson.

Please note that bookings are non-refundable, no cancellations due to bad weather as we have an undercover arena.

Your inquiries are important to us. As our site team and coaches are typically hard at work during business hours and cell phones are not permitted in the equestrian areas of the centre we can't always take your call. To ensure your inquiry doesn't get missed, we prefer you contact us by text message or email rather than phone call as we aren't always able to receive voice calls. Better still, use our online booking service to secure your spot.
